St. Isidore of Seville said, "Reading the Holy Scriptures confers two benefits. It trains the mind to understand them; it turns man's attention from the follies of the world and leads him to the love of God."
St. Thomas of Villanova wrote, "If you want God to hear your prayers, hear the voice of the poor. If you wish God to anticipate your wants, provide those of the needy without waiting for them to ask you."
Follow the advice of these two saints by reading the Bible every day and allowing God’s Word to permeate your heart and your will while guiding your actions.
