Faith is a gift from God, but like any gift it must be given and received. Our loving God offers us the gift of Faith, when we [assent] accept the gift of Faith the work of feeding our faith and strengthening of Faith begins.
First with the help our parents and then our personal commitment to Jesus though the Sacraments He offers us in His Church.
St. Thomas Aquinas said, "Faith is a habit of the mind whereby eternal life is begun in us, making the intellect assent to what is non-apparent."
