One thing we should do each day is remember our weaknesses. "The root of most problems, and the foundation of most sins, is pride.... Pride is the principal vice that turns the soul away from real relationship with God and into the superficiality of a perfunctory faith." (Lift Up Your Heart, p. 33)
After that I recommend practicing the Seven Salesian Virtues to make the ordinary, extraordinary and then offer each day to God.
1. Endure Patiently
2. See the Bright Side
3. Show Good Humor
4. Stay Cheerfully Excusing
5. Put on a Good Face
6. Be Appreciative
7. Speak Gently and Show Courtesy
In the Book of Revelation (22:17) we read, “Let all who thirst come; let all who desire it drink from the life-giving water.” And in psalm (42) we pray,
“Like the deer that yearns
for running streams,
so my soul is yearning
for you, my God.
My soul is thirsting for God,
the God of my life;
when can I enter and see
the face of God?”
Nourish your soul with God’s love, Word and Sacraments so that you are filled with God’s goodness.
St. Joseph pray for us.
St. Andre Bessette intercede for us.
May God Be Praised!
