Jesus prayed, “My heart is nearly broken with sorrow; stay here and keep watch with me.” [Antiphon - Morning Prayer Monday of Holy Week]
St. Francis de Sales wrote, “The distance from Heaven to Earth cannot separate hearts that God has united.”
When we lose one, we join Jesus with our “heart” nearly broken asking the Lord to “stay” and “watch” with us and to salve the wound of hurt and despair in our heart and soul.
One day the tears of sorrow will be wiped away, and “All will be well and all manner of things will be well.” [St. Julian of Norwich]
May God Be Praised.

Thanks, Deacon George.
