We continue celebrating Easter and in the reading for the Acts, we heard that the Jewish Authorities decide to watch and see if the Apostles teaching is from man, it will destroy itself. If it is from God, they will not be able to stop it.
This coming Wednesday the Cardinal-electors will enter the Conclave to select our new Pope, the successor to St. Peter. Our Church is from God the Petrine Ministry is one indication of that it is from God.
As you pray for the happy repose of the soul of Pope Francis; pray also for the Cardinals to listen to the Holy Spirit in their deliberations.
Tomorrow our second graders will receive the Eucharist/Holy Communion for the first time.
Another gift Jesus gave us through the Church. Today’s miracle of the multiplication of the loaves & fish in the Gospel points to the super-abundance of God’s grace. Grace is a profound & beautiful gift that God offers to us. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Faith, a superabundant gift of grace that we are privileged to receive.
