Writing letters is a more intimate way of communicating than sending a text, an email or even making a phone call. Writing to a friend enable you to pray for them and thank God for the gift of friendship.
Letters can enrich friendships, because when you write to a friend they will be filled with gratitude as they read it. Today, take time to thank God for the ability to write letters, for the gift of the friends who will receive those who send them, and for those who write a letter to you.
The followers of Jesus wrote His letters to us in the Gospels, read them as a personal letter from Jesus to you. During the remainder of Lent read the Letters: James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John Jude and Revelation because Jesus has an important message for you in His Letters to you.
