Henri Nouwen wrote, “Joy and sadness are born at the same time, both arising from such deep places in your heart that you can't find words to capture your complex emotions.”
St. Francis de Sales said, “We shall steer safely through every storm, so long as our heart is right, our intention fervent, our courage steadfast, and our trust fixed on God. If at times we are somewhat stunned by the tempest, never fear. Let us take breath, and go on afresh.”
Khalil Gibran, offered this insight, “Sadness is but a wall between two gardens.”
When we love God first and totally our heart will be going in the right direction and filled with Hope.
Even Charlie offers us a profound insight.
May God Be Praised.
