COVID 19 Pandemic Prayer

Advice from St. Francis de Sales and from Deacon George Kelly

“Do not look forward in fear to the changes and chances of this life; Rather, look to them with full confidence that, as they arise, God, to whom you belong will in His love enable you to profit by them.

He has guided you thus far in life, and He will lead you safely through all trials; and when you cannot stand it, God will bury you in His arms.

Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day.  He will either shield you from suffering, or will give you unfailing strength to bear it.  Be at peace, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.” Amen.

St. Francis de Sales included in a passage of Letters to Persons of the World: “Let the world turn upside down, let everything be in darkness, in smoke, in uproar—God is with us.”

“Lord God give us the Grace to become truly Holy and give us the Courage to conform our lives to Your Gospel.  Nourish us always with Your sacraments, that we may reflect the brightness of Your love to the darkness in our world.”

“Some say, Jesus is the Greatest Story ever told, I believe that Jesus, True God & True Man, is the Greatest Truth ever revealed!  Alleluia, Alleluia!”

“We are not on earth to earn heaven, we are on earth to reflect heaven to those we meet.”

As we continue to deal with the COVID 19 Pandemic may each one of us take time to thank God for each other, for the medical personal and all of those on the front lines.  When we are able, once again, to pray in church, shop in a store, go to a movie, etc., may we do each thing we do with a grateful heart.

May God Be Praised!
