Blog Post 3/15/2022 – Our Lenten Journey

Our Lenten Journey

In Deuteronomy we read, “You are a people sacred to the Lord ….”  We began Lent hearing the call to review how we are living as disciples of Jesus Christ, “Repent and believe in the Gospel.”  “Remember, you are dust, and to dust you will return.”

Lent reminds us that “We are not human beings on a spiritual journey, we are spiritual beings on a human journey.” [Teihard de Chardin, S.J.]. Lent is a time to reflect on our response to the call to be sacred …. the Lord, your God, is God indeed, the faithful God who keeps his merciful covenant down to the thousandth generation toward those who love him and keep his commandments.

The planting season is here, use Lent to plant spiritual soil.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, intercede for us.

St. Michael, ask God to help the Ukrainians.

May God Be Praised and your day be Blessed.

And with St. Francis de Sales let us remember, "We shall steer safely through every storm, so long as our heart is right, our intention fervent, our courage steadfast, and our trust fixed on God."
