The Secret of Life
Belden Lane wrote in his book The Solace of Fierce Landscaped: Exploring Desert and Mountain Spirituality, “The secret of life is to have a task, something you devote your entire life to, something you bring everything to, every minute of the day for your whole life.”
Let me suggest that for your task you adopt Jesus tells us in the Gospel always put God first in our thoughts, words and actions.
The prophet Micah summarizes what God wants of us this way:
1. to do right,
2. to love goodness
3. and walk humbly with God!
St. Francis de Sales said: “Let us be who we are and be that well,
in order to bring honor to the Master craftsman whose handiwork we are.”

Choose your task, choose wisely, then pursue with everything you have.
St. Joseph, pray for us.
St. Andre Bessette, intercede for us.
St. Francis de Sales, pray for us.
“Tune my spirit to the music of heaven.” [St. Brendan the Navigator]
