Blog Post 12/15/2021 - Advent Preparations

                                                                Advent Preparations

Many of you are praying for my daughter-in-law Laurie, who is recovering from her ruptured brain aneurysm, and she is a miracle.  Please keep praying for her, my son Brian and their children Caiden John[10] and Berkleigh McDevitt [8].

Pictured above is their Family Advent Project, and it contains an important message for them and for us, “God is Faithful”.  The Sacraments give us a unique path to God, that is why Jesus gave them to us.

Notice the Eucharist doesn’t appear to be there, but it is, it is temporarily caught on a tree branch, much like us caught in “the in-between time”, between Jesus’ arrival in history over 2,000 years ago and His return at the end of time.  The Sacraments guide us on our path to the Lord, in particular, “The Eucharist” the Real Presence of the Lord which nourishes us and allows us to know Him and reverence Him.

Advent reminds us to prepare our hearts, minds and souls for the real meaning of Christmas, Christ coming among us to show us the Way, the Truth and the Life.

May your Advent be filled with peace and joy.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.

St. Joseph, pray for us.

St. Andre Bessette, intercede for us.

St. Francis de Sales, pray for us.

“Tune my spirit to the music of heaven.”  [St. Brendan the Navigator]

May God Be Praised and your day be Blessed.

Pictured below is Laurie during a follow up meeting with Dr. Humphries, the surgeon who saved her life 3.5 years ago, say a prayer of thanks for him.
