In the book of Genesis, we learned that God said, “I will bless you”, and when we were Baptized the priest or deacon blessed us with the sign of the cross on our foreheads. He, then, asked our parents and godparents to do the same.  God continues to bless us every day.

St. Matthew wrote, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?  It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.  You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

St. Francis de Sales said, “Be who you are and be it well.”  We are children of God, and our spiritual job is to flavor the world with the love of Christ and allow His light to shine through our actions the loving, caring, kindness we share with the world.

Today bless those you meet with the flavor of Jesus and brighten their day with the light of Christ.

May God Be Praised!
