Our faith is
our path to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Our time on earth is
limited! Remember Jesus told us, “Be Not
Afraid!” Jesus commissioned
us to build His Kingdom that is why we are here.
Pope Benedict
wrote, “St. Luke teaches that knowing the content to be believed is not
sufficient unless the heart, the authentic sacred space is opened by grace –
(grace) that allows the eyes to see below the surface & to understand that
what has been proclaimed is the word of God.”
(Porta Fidei 10)
We can
summarize the Holy Father this way: studying, praying and doing! Richard Bach
wrote: “What the caterpillar calls the end
of the world, the master calls a butterfly.”
When we think
of the end of the world, we often focus on disaster, loss and judgment. But the end of something can also be the
beginning of something new and life-giving.
Today is an
excellent day to take an inventory of our spiritual life:
1. Do I have a sense of vocation, of purpose?
2. How important is God in my life?
3. What is my prayer life?
4. How would I teach someone to pray?
5. Is prayer an essential part of my life?
6. How does my faith impact my daily life?
7. Is my life’s goal to be a saint?
To live the
Gospel values we need spiritual muscle and that comes from our PRAYER LIFE! Those muscles develop from use that is:
purposeful, planned and regular.
Take a few
minutes to reflect on how you can strengthen your spiritual muscles.
May God Be Blessed!
