In our first reading from Deuteronomy there is an interesting word Pisgah [PIZ guh], it means Summit or Peak, it can, also, mean “a glimpse of a distant sight/view.
Moses viewed the Promised Land, before he died, from a Summit/Peak in Hebrew Piz guh. In our Responsorial we heard, “Come and see the works of God ….”
St. Matthew tells us, Where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is in the midst of them. He is in our midst now and will be in each of us through the Eucharist, in a few minutes.
Jesus is our Summit, our Pisgah, reflect on that great gift today.
May God Be Praised.
