Blog Post 08-21-2025 When is “Later”?

 

The late Harry Chapin made the song “Cats in the Cradle” It is about choosing what is most important in life. It is really about how you set our priorities. 

 

 

 

How often do you say, “Later . . . ”

 

I’ll call you later.

We’ve got to get together for dinner later.

I’ll have to read that later.

I’ll talk with you later.

I’ll call you later.

Later is that time that never comes.

Jesus challenges us to recognize the importance of now — that our lives are precious, that the time we have to realize the love of God in our life [here on earth] is finite. God gives us this life to experience His love in every facet of our daily lives, so we are prepared to enjoy eternity inside the Trinity.

Then take a few minutes and ask yourself what does Jesus want me to do “Now”?
