If St. Peter had a twitter account and listened to some of today’s music his tweets may have gone like this:
2. Jesus is mistaken about the Messiah’s job; I straighten Him out!
3. Jesus knows the Messiah thing. He is helping!
4. Jesus is the answer to life’s questions; including salvation!
Peter would certainly have used Twitter & all of the other social media outlets to spread the Gospel Message! He said, “Lord to whom shall we go, you have the words of everlasting life.”
If Peter heard U2’s song, “With or Without You?’, he would recommend we think about these lyrics, “And you give yourself away, And you give yourself away, And you give, And you give, And you give yourself away.”
Give yourself away to Jesus. Now for a few minutes, in silence, reflect on whether you believe what St. Peter or not; & if you do what difference does it make in your daily life?
