Wednesday’s Wink from Above 12-17-2025 Advent Preparations

There is a beautiful, simple yet majestic Advent Antiphon “The Lord is close at hand; come let us worship him.”

This song by Christina Rossetti In a Bleak Midwinter captures this idea as well and both can help us with Advent Spiritual Preparations take a few minutes to listen:

Advent reminds us to give our life more fully and more faithfully to Christ our Savior. So, we pray, “My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready. I will sing, I will sing your praise. Awake, my soul, awake, lyre and harp, I will awake the dawn.” [Psalm 57]

St. Francis de Sales teaches us a lesson that we can practice during Advent, “It is not(by) the multiplicity of things we do that we acquire perfection, but by the perfection and purity on intention with which we do them.”

Reflect on “Yet what I can give Him, give my heart, my heart.” This Advent give Him your heart by your actions.

May God Be Praised.
