St. Paul in his letter to the Colossians reminded us “… the word of truth, the Gospel, … has come to you.” What do we do with the Gospel we received; the Gospel we profess to live.
Listen to this story, a new pastor gave a great sermon. The following Sunday he repeated the same sermon. He repeated the same sermon for three more Sundays, some people from the congregation went to him and requested to know why he kept offering them the same sermon week after week?
The pastor responded, “I plan to give the same sermon until I see you doing something about it.” Reflect on this “You will never cross the ocean by standing on the sand.” [Adopted from Action, Year C, Mark Link, S.J.]
Jesus prayed and acted; we are called to do likewise.
