In one sense today’s Readings [https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/0811-memorial-saintclare.cfm] are about “long-term” goals, or planning.
Where should I work? Where should I send my children to school?
Where should I live?, Is she/he the one I should marry?
Where should I invest my money?, Etc., Etc.
St. Francis de Sales offers us this powerful insight into our planning, our long-term goals “What is the prize if it is not Jesus Christ?”
How can you take hold of Him if you do not follow Him?”
Saints Paul, Peter & Clare followed Jesus & were rewarded with eternal life?
Let’s join them and focus our lives on our “INHERTANCE” – the Lord; He is the “prize,” we should follow Him.
