Blog Post 03-19-2025 God, Our Mind & the Tapestry of Life

 

 

The playwright Robert Bolt, in A Man for All Seasons had St. Thomas More utter these word. Sir Thomas More's words were packed with insight for us to probe, “God made the angels to show Him splendor, as He made animals for innocence and plants for their simplicity. But Man He made to serve Him wittily, in the tangle of his mind.”

 

 

The mind is a tangle to us. To God, it is a tapestry. Tapestries are unique artistic creations. On one side they look like a collection of completely unrelated threads. However, on the front, the threads come together to form a picture of great beauty.

 

May each of us live our lives for Jesus and in Jesus, He will make the tangles a beautiful gift to His Father through the Holy Spirit.
