"Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them, every day begin the task anew." [St. Francis de Sales]
Patience with others or with yourself is difficult. How can we make progress in being patient first with ourselves?
Recognize that God loves us as we are and focus on being “a little bit better each day”, accepting our failures, but not allowing our failures to define us. Each step in our spiritual path toward God when based on knowing and trusting that God’s love will guide to holiness. As we become more patient with ourselves, we can work on being more patient with others as of our love for God increases.
May God Be Praised.
