St. James tells us, To “Always speak and act as people destined for judgement …. Merciless is the judgement on the person who has not shown mercy; but mercy triumphs over judgement.” [2:12-13]
Today spend a few minutes reflecting the Beatitude, “ Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” [Matthew 5: 7]. There is no Beatitude to judge.
Lent is coming, consider focusing your Lenten spiritual good deeds on mercy. Mercy both given and received will cultivate a grateful heart and enable you to experience the Lord’s great mercy.
May God Be Praised.
