Recently Pope John Paul I was beatified, he was known as the
smiling pope. He said, “I shall be
called John Paul.” I have neither the “wisdom of the heart” of Pope John, nor
the preparation and culture of Pope Paul, but I am in their place. I must seek
to serve the Church. I hope that you will help me with your prayers. His coat of arms carried the virtues of faith, hope & charity and the word "humilitas" meaning humility.
A man, priest and Pope who served God and God’s people, we can
learn to be better disciples by imitating his humility.
