Pray for our Nation
Today, ask St. Thomas More to intercede for our nation before God Almighty. Yesterday’s violent protest in our nation’s capital was horrible and disheartening.
Please ask Jesus to guide us and have the courage to accept His grace for “guidance from above” in our duty as citizens.
Offer your pledge of Allegiance today as a prayer, along with this stanza from God Bless America:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all," should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. May our nation be guided by respect for each other, for our common good and for our love of God.
