Bishop Barron wrote, every religion or philosophy involves … certain key ideas.  Muslims … accept the truth of the Qur’an; Buddhists … the 8fold path of the Buddha; Aristotelians … subscribe to the principles of Aristotle….  But for Christians, it is far more than a philosophy … they have heard the voice of Jesus and responded to it…. Jesus is the one who leads us if we follow, the one who fulfills us totally, the one Who prepares us with His grace to be with Him in heaven. 

As you carry your crosses, your hardships and sorrows ask Jesus to wrap them in His wounds.  He is the Way!  When we are sick, we seek a doctor.  When we are lost in our travels, we seek directions in our G.P.S., when we are thirsty, we seek water.

Jesus' love will us guide us and lead us to Him, we are part of His Body, the Body of Christ.  When we forgive someone - they are forgiven.  When we love someone, they are loved by Christ because the body of Christ is Christ and the Body of Believers.  (Ron Rolheiser, St. Louis Sunday Web Site, May 7, 2017)

For a few minutes, think about your relationship with Jesus, how personal is it and remember you are His candle light in our world.

“Lord, listen to my prayer: turn your ear to my appeal.” [Psalm 143] God, You are our refuge and our hope, we turn to you during this COVID 19 pandemic and plead for Your intercession.  In Your mercy and Your compassion “… grant eternal rest to the dead, comfort to mourners, healing to the sick ….” [Collect from Mass Time in Pandemic].

Grant strength to the first responders and medical personnel.  End this coronavirus scourge.  Bring Your light to all who wander in the darkness of this pandemic and give each of us hope in Your eternal love today and every day.  Amen.  [Dcn. George Kelly]
