Our past is with us forever, but it doesn’t limit us, it should inform us. Our past is part of who we are today. The sins of yesterday need the Lord’s forgiveness, He who knows us better than we know ourselves.
“Then they cried to the Lord in their need and he rescued them from their distress. He sent forth his word to heal them….” [Psalm 107]
May we always remember what St. Francis de Sales said, “Be who you are and be that well as a witness to the master craftsman who created you.”
You and I are children of God, so let’s go to our Lord and Savior for guidance to “Live Jesus”, live Jesus today and when tomorrow gets here it will be today and we can “Live Jesus” again.
“Almighty ever-living God … pour out your mercy upon us to pardon what conscience dreads and to give what prayer does not dare to ask.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.” Amen.
May God Be Praised.
