"Christian optimism is not a sugary optimism, nor is it a mere human confidence that everything will turn out all right. It is an optimism that sinks its roots into an awareness of our freedom, and the sure knowledge of the power of grace. It is an optimism that leads us to make demands on ourselves, to struggle to respond at every moment to God's call." [St. Josemaria Escriva]
“Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same understanding Father who cares for you today will take care of you then & every day.… Be at peace & put aside all anxious thoughts ….” [St. Francis deSales]
de Sales, also, advises us, “Do not look forward to what might happen tomorrow; the same Everlasting Father who cares for you today, will take care of you tomorrow and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings.”
In the Morning we pray, “Lord, you have blessed your land; you have forgiven the sins of Your people.” [Antiphon 1, Morning Prayer 7/12/2022]
Today is tomorrow's past and yesterday's future, so walk with God today, it is all you have been given; given by God, so do God’s Will today and Christian Optimism will perdure.
May God Be Praised!
