In The Introduction to the Devout Life St. Francis de Sales wrote, “Begin all your prayer, whether mental or vocal, in the presence of God. Abide by this rule without exception and you will soon see how profitable it is to you”

Fruitful insights for us to practice during Advent and a few additional thoughts to consider.

St. Francis deSales wrote, “Be patient with every one, but above all, with yourself …. Do not be disturbed because of your imperfections; always rise bravely from a fall.”  (Golden Counsels)

As our secular world speeds toward the Holiday Season: SPEND, SPEND, SPEND, BUY, BUY, BUY, PARTY, PARTY, PARTY, GO, GO, GO!
We need to remind ourselves that Jesus, the LIGHT of the world,
became incarnate to show us the best way.  To show us how to live good lives, lives of fulfillment and love – to live the way God originally intended.

Being patient with each other and being patient with God will help our Advent be a season of joy and renewal.

May God Be Praised!
