A man walking in the desert heard a voice say, “Pick up stones & pebbles, put them in your pocket, and tomorrow you will be both sorry and happy.”
The man listened. He gathered a handful of stones & pebbles and put them in his pocket. The next morning, he continued his journey, as he traveled, he reached into his pocket & instead of stones & pebbles, he found diamonds, rubies, and emeralds. He was both sorry and happy—happy that he had taken some, sorry he had not taken a lot more.
So, it is for us in learning and nourishing our relationship with God; some day when we meet God, we will be both happy & sad. Happy that we learned & loved and sad that we did not learn & love more.
Be the best disciple that you can be today & when tomorrow gets here it will be today.
May God Be Praised.
