Blog Post 01-31-2025 Perspective on Others

View each person you meet as an image of God, sent to you for God’s purpose. Find the good, pray for their holiness.

St. Therese of Lisieux said, "I know now that true charity consists in bearing all of our neighbors defects not being surprised at their weakness, but edified at their smallest virtues."

Fr. Dennis Murphy OSFS, “I see good in you and I choose to help that good grow for your sake.”

Each of us is called by God to be the person created in God's image and likeness.

May God Be Praised.

Blog Post 01-30-2025 Whose Light Shines Through you?

“We love because we have been loved, we forgive because we have been forgiven. None of us shines with our own light." Pope Francis, also, said, “The Word of God … calls us to imitate the God of love, opening up glimmers of light we can, with whomever we meet, in any context: family, social, international…. And this invitation resounds in a particular way in the Jubilee Year that has just begun, … to be messengers of hope with a simple but concrete yes to life, with choices that bring life….

Where can we, you, and I, be a glimmer of God’s light of love? What can I do today? The first step is to follow Mary’s example and say yes to God’s call.

Blog Post 01-29-2025 What Gifts Can We Offer God

The wise men offered him three precious gifts: Gold for the great King, frankincense for the true God, and myrrh for his burial.

We offer our Treasure [Gold], our Talent [Frankincense], and our Time [Myrrh].

Today spend a few minutes thinking about the gifts you offer Jesus Christ, Eternal High Priest.

May God Be Praised.

Blog Post 01-28-2025

We are not rolling stones; we are children of God and disciples of Jesus Christ called to live the Gospel.

The Faith we are called to live can be summarized by two Pillars: Love of God and love of neighbor.

Jesus thirsted on the Cross for each one of us, union with Him quenches our Thirst for the Eternal. In this Jubilee Year of Hope consider focusing on strengthening your faith.

May God Be Praised.

The name of Jesus, pronounced with reverence and affection, has a kind of power to soften the heart."  [St. Philip Neri]

Today bow your head and your heart and your will then pray Jesus.
