In 1925 in his private diary of Saint John XXIII wrote, “The bishop’s robes will always remind me of ‘the splendour of souls’ which they signify, the bishop’s real glory. God forbid that they should ever become a motive for vanity.”
May we imitate the humility of St. John XXIII in our lives.
