Blog Post 5/10/2024 – Mercy, Hope, Peace

In Psalm 85 we pray, “Mercy and faithfulness have met; justice and peace have embraced.  Faithfulness shall spring from the earth and justice look down from heaven.”  In a Psalm Prayer, we say,

“In the tender compassion of our God the dawn from on high shall break upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

St. Padre Pio offers us this insight, "Pray, hope and don't worry. Anxiety doesn't help at all. Our Merciful Lord will listen to your prayer."  And, St. Francis de Sales wrote,

“Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.”

May God Be Praised.
