Blog Post – 4/09/2022 – Our Lenten Journey

The Feast of Tabernacles was the Jewish feast to celebrate of the gathering of the fall harvest, BUT also, spiritual purification and v reconciliation with God.  That is what Lent is for us, a time to strengthen our relationship with God, a time of spiritual purification.

Francis de Sales offers us this advice, “So you want to know the best time to serve the Lord?  It is the present time, which is in your possession here and now.  The past is no longer yours; the future has not yet come and is uncertain.  The best time is really the present, which you should spend in serving God.” [St. Francis de Sales, Sermons]

Use the remainder of Lent to fine-tune your love of God and your love for God.  And today take a few minutes to reflect on your discipleship, are you the best disciple you can be?

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, intercede for us.

St. Michael, ask God to help the Ukrainians.

May God Be Praised and your day be Blessed.

“God of Peace, in Lent you draw us together to witness the depth of your love for us. Allow that love now to intercede in the invasion of Ukraine. Rescue your children. Unite our family. End this war.”  Amen. [Tatyana Borodina]
