Blog Post 10-03-2024 – Indifference? Maybe Relativism founded on Secularism?

St. Maximilian Kolbe said, "The most deadly poison of our times is indifference. And this happens, although the praise of God should know no limits. Let us strive, therefore, to praise Him to the greatest extent of our powers."

Indifference is a plague on the human race, pray to the Lord for the healing of this problem.

Blog Post 10-02-2024 – Gospel Teaching – Love God & Love Your Neighbor and Antigone

We know in our souls, down deep in our being that love of God and love of neighbor should guide our actions, our lives.  In Sophocles' play, the ancient Greek heroine Antigone said to her executioner, the tyrant Creon: “I was not born to hate, I was born to love.”

St. Mark offers us these words, “Jesus replied, “The first is this: ‘Hear, O Israel!  The Lord our God is Lord alone!  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’  The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no other commandment greater than these.”  [Mark 12:29-31]

Blog Post 10/01/2024 - God’s Holiness [excerpts from Psalm 97]

In Psalm 97 the glory of the Lord foretells a world-wide salvation and that peoples of all nations will believe in Christ [St. Athanasius].

The Lord is king, let earth rejoice, let all the coastlands be glad. Cloud and darkness are his raiment; his throne, justice and right….  His lightnings light up the world, the earth trembles at the sight.

The skies proclaim his justice; all peoples see his glory….  Zion hears and is glad;
the people of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, O Lord.  For you indeed are the Lord most high above all the earth, exalted far above all spirits.

Light shines forth for the just and joy for the upright of heart.  Rejoice, you just, in the Lord; give glory to his holy name.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.  Amen.

God’s holiness blesses all the people and the entire cosmos.

May God Be Praised.
