“With what gift shall I commit Yahweh’s presence? This is what Yahweh asks of you: only this, to act justly, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with your God” [Micah 6; 6]
As celebrate the Easter Season let’s reflect on what St. Francis de Sales meant by Living Jesus.
When we dress put on Jesus!
When we wash, wash in Jesus!
When we talk, talk Jesus!
When we smile, smile Jesus!
Brother Lawrence in his book The Practice in the Presence of God offers us this advice. Do what we do for God.
To live that way we need discipline and discipline to follow Jesus is based on WISDOM.
In the Celtic Tradition spiritual enrichment or development is founded on:
1. knowledge of self
2. compassion for others
3. friendship with God
Friendship with God comes from Scripture, the Sacraments, especially the Sacrament of the Eucharist, and quiet time with the Lord.
May God Be Praised.
