The Prophet Isaiah reminds us that God’s mercy is available to us when we cry out to the Lord. Jesus tells the disciples that the crowds are “… like sheep without a shepherd.”

He sent the twelve to heal, to cure and to teach imitating Jesus and Jesus wants us to do the same. Advent is a Season of Waiting & a Season of Hope. Our Responsorial Psalm instructs us “Blessed are all who wait for the Lord.”

Advent reminds us that we are Waiting for Jesus’ while we Wait, we are to proclaim The Kingdom. Today there is a tremendous cultural push to separate the sacred from the secular in society. This Advent we should bring the sacred into the secular by the way we live our lives. We can shine the light of Christ in the darkness of our world.

We should follow Theodore Roosevelt’s advice “Do what you can with what you have, where you are.” We have the Light of the Kingdom let us shine brightly.

May God Be Praised.
