Blog Post 8/01/2023 Dear God

“Shenandoah” is derived from native American languages, most likely the Algonquin “schind-han-do-wi.”  Several translations have been proposed, but “Beautiful Daughter of the Stars” is the most magnificent.   As that legend goes, Shenandoah was once a great lake in the mountains of Virginia.

This day pray Dear God, “I long to see you … Your roaming waters … I long to hear you, And hear your rolling river … Just to be near you ….”

May God Be Praised.
