Today Ponder the Meaning of Love
Thomas a' Kempis wrote, "Nothing is sweeter than love; nothing stronger, nothing higher, nothing more generous, nothing more pleasant, nothing fuller or better in Heaven or on earth; for love proceeds from God and cannot rest but in God above all things created." [Imitation of Christ, p. 87]
In the First Letter of John we read, “God is love.” [1 John 4:16] Pope Benedict said in Caritas in Veritate: “Everything has its origin in God’s love, everything is shaped by it, everything is directed towards it. Love is God’s greatest gift to humanity, it is his promise and our hope”.
Today spend some time pondering God’s love, the meaning of love is found in God.
