Living Christianity One Day at a Time

St. Clare of Assisi gave us this great insight, "Have caution in not allowing yourself to be struck down by adversity nor becoming vain by prosperity.”

St. Charles Borromeo said, "If we wish to make any progress in the service of God, we must begin every day of our life with new eagerness.

We must keep ourselves in the presence of God as much as possible and have no other view or end in all our actions but the divine honor."

St. Francis de Sales wrote, “Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then, put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations, and say continually: The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart has trusted in Him and I am helped. He is not only with me, but in me and I in Him.”

Remembering that, “The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will care for you tomorrow and every day.  Either he will shield you from suffering or give you unfailing strength to bear it.  Be at peace then and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings.”  [from The Introduction to the Devout Life]

Spend a few minutes today to reflect on the wisdom these Saints offer to us.

St. Joseph, pray for us.

Saint Andre Bessette intercede for us.

May God Be Praised!
