How can we pursue holiness, and why should we pursue holiness?
First, we need to know that we are worthy of love, and we are worthy of love because God is love.
Second, we cannot earn God’s love, we can only accept or reject it.
Third, we should choose to follow the Lord because the soul that loves God is a joy-filled soul.
Fourth, we should always aim for perfection, because Jesus told us too.
Fifth, we should adopt spiritual practices suited to our state of life and our vocation.
Sixth, we should live the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience, because they are necessary for each one of us.
And, seventh, we should be open to the inspirations God sends us.

COVID 19 Pandemic Prayer
Continue to pray, Hear my cry! “Lord, listen to my prayer: turn your ear to my appeal.” You are my refuge and my hope, I turn to you during this COVID 19 Pandemic and plead for Your intercession. In Your mercy and Your compassion “… grant eternal rest to the dead, comfort to mourners, healing to the sick ….”

Provide strength to the first responders, compassion to the medical personnel, and wisdom to government leaders. End this coronavirus scourge. Send Your light to me as I wander in the darkness of this pandemic and give me hope in Your eternal love today and every day. Amen. [Dcn. George Kelly]
