Blog Post 11-13-2024 Advice from Pope Francis & St. Francis de Sales

"To live by Jesus, to live by the Gospel, one must come out of oneself. We felt spurred on to go out to sea, to leave the comfortable shores of our safe harbours to enter deep waters: not into the marshy waters of ideologies, but the open sea in which the Spirit invites us to cast our nets."
Pope Francis

St. Francis de Sales said: "Be yourself and be it well in order to bring honor to the Master Craftsman whose handiwork we are.”

Today be the best person you can by “Living Jesus” and offering your actions to God the Master Craftsman and sail on the sea of this day.

May God Be Praised.

Blog Post 11-12-2024 May God’s Care Surround you today.

“Mercy and faithfulness have met [the Word became Flesh]; Justice and Peace have embraced [the Prince of Peace came among us].

Faithfulness shall spring froth from the earth [The Son of God redeemed us] and Justice look down from Heaven [God Who is Father, Son & Holy Spirit gazes upon us with Love].”

[Psalm 85]

May God Be Praised.

Blog Post 11/11/2024 - Veterans Day

Today’s blog was posted at 11:00 am on the 11th day of the 11 month rather than the usual 7:00 am because the armistice to end hostilities of W.W. I went into effect at the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11 month, and it was originally called Armistice day.  It was renamed Veterans Day, and we thank God for our Veterans and their families for the liberties we enjoy.

In the Gospel of Luke [17:11-12], Jesus heals ten lepers, yet only one returns to give thanks.  The men and women our nation honors today deserve our gratitude and our thanks because they fought - fought for all of us. On Veteran's Day we honor those who live among us who have served in the defense of our country.

Many veterans sacrificed physically and psychologically while defending our country and preserving the principles that upon which America was founded. There are currently more roughly eighteen million veterans, today offer a pray for them and thank God for their service for our nation.

I offer this Blessing upon our veterans, “Bless O Lord, those who have fought in the defense of our nation. Give us the grace to reach out to them in gratitude for their service, may their commitment and sacrifice inspire each one of us to work together to realize The Kingdom.”  Amen.

For our Nation we pray: “Loving God help us to serve those who are shunned or eschewed; guide our civic leaders; bless our nation; and bestow Your grace upon our elected officials and anoint them with the desire to foster the common good.”  Amen.

[Dcn. George Kelly]

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.

St. Francis de Sales, pray for us.

“Tune my spirit to the music of heaven.”  [St. Brendan the Navigator]

May God Be Praised and your day be Blessed.

Blog Post 11-10-2024

O God,

You blessed the universe and all the cosmos when You created them.

You came to earth the Word made Flesh to redeem us and show us the Way to our Heavenly home.

Grant us, today, the grace of gratitude for Your creation and our participation in that creation.

Amen.

May God Be Praised.

Blog Post 11-09-2024 From Morning Prayer Week IV

Today ask the Lord, you fill you with God’s kindness, then spend some time reflecting on living “… in the radiance of God.”  Remembering that “There is no time with God: a thousand years, a single day, it is all one. [2 Peter 3:8]

Kindness, Radiance & One.

May God Be Blessed.

Blog Post 11-08-2024 The Purpose of Life

St. Margaret Mary said the purpose of life is “The sacred heart of Christ [which] is an inexhaustible fountain, and its sole desire is to pour itself out into the hearts of the humble so as to free them and prepare them to lead lives according to his good pleasure."

Allow yourself to be enveloped by the sacred Heart of Christ.
